Board
Society of Esthetic Dentristry in Romania has the following Board of Directors.
The Society of Esthetic Dentistry in Romania ("Societatea de Stomatologie Estetica din Romania") was established in April 2004, being the first professional association of Romania dedicated to promoting the modern principles of aesthetic dentistry.
For the same purposes, the Society of Esthetic Dentistry in Romania intends to:
- organise seminars, symposiums, congresses and scientific events.
- support the participation of its members to scientific events in the field.
- organise information centres.
- publish informative materials in the field of aesthetic dentistry.
- collect funds meant for carrying out its activity.
The Association is aimed at educating dentists in the field of aesthetic dentistry, at educating students and intern/resident physicians in dentistry, at establishing standards for the education in the field of aesthetic dentistry and accrediting standards in the field of aesthetic dentistry. For this purpose, the Society of Esthetic Dentistry in Romania shall coordinate and initiate various activities and projects:
- promoting the integration of aesthetic dentistry in the entire range of oral hygiene and undertaking a management role in the profession by defining the highest professional, scientific and ethic standards.
- promoting the aesthetic dentistry and encouraging the research in the field in order to increase the level of dental services provided to patients.
- stimulating the post-academic education in the field of aesthetic dentistry and supra-specialisation in dental aesthetics, supporting the offer of educative opportunities at a higher level.
- supporting the research activities in the field of aesthetic dentistry.
- facilitating the creation of the appropriate framework necessary for practicing in this field.
- providing useful information related to progresses achieved in the field of aesthetic dentistry both to practitioners and to the general public, thus becoming a specialty consultant.
- publishing its own journals and facilitating the access of interested dentists to international publications in the field.
- supporting the competent institutions in the process of formation, specialisation and education of dentists and dentistry students in the field of aesthetic dentistry;
- providing information related to domestic and international scientific events in the field, facilitating the participation to such events;
- supporting the scientific research projects in the field of aesthetic dentistry;
